In this first episode, HCWC Prevention Educators, Kiara, Vanessa, and Megan, introduce themselves and their hopes for the podcast. For the first time in 20 years, the Texas State Board of Education is considering making changes to health standards to include consent and healthy relationship programming. Join them as they discuss what it's like doing violence prevention work in Texas, why these changes are a big deal, and what you can do about it.
Note: The upcoming Texas State Board of Education's final vote is the week of November 17-20, 2020.
